Heyy friends! Welcome to Borderline Millennials - a place for the content that speaks to those of us stuck between Millennial and Generation Z. While this blog has my own personal recounts of life, it’s also a place where I hope you find inspiration for your next event to go to, movie or show to watch, restaurant to try, places to visit, or book to read.
Who Is Sahara?
My name is Sahara (suh-hair-uh) and I am an adventurer, photographer, writer, and overall content and UGC creator based in Los Angeles, California. I was born and raised in the capital city of California, Sacramento, and have always been fascinated by the never-ending list of things to do and try in beautiful California!
Backstory
I grew up in a large family that loved to take road trips so I was exposed to a lot of beautiful landscapes from a young age. All of this travel, mostly throughout the United States, inspired me to have an appreciation and a fascination with the world around me. I had various forms of outlets that showed my appreciation of the world, but the two that have been with me throughout various points of my life were photography/videography and writing.
Inspiration
I can’t be the only one who tries to fill their nights, weekends, and days off with fun things to do, but struggles to figure out where exactly to go to figure out what that is.
Nor can I be the only one who is actively searching for reliable, authentic, and relatable recommendations or reviews of products, events, and media.
Because of my constant hunt for the former, I decided to become that person. I want to be someone who my peers and even complete strangers can go to for advice, recommendations, and stories of fantastic adventures that inspire them to do more, try more, and be more!
Who Are Borderline Millennials?
Borderline Millennials is defined as the group of us who teeter along the edge of both Millennial and Generation Z. We’re that generation that was born somewhere between 1992 and 1999. We speak predominantly in quotes from Spongebob, think of TikTok as both the Kesha hit single and the social media platform, and can perfectly remember all the lyrics to the most iconic DCOMs (Disney Channel Original Movies, duh!).
I create content in the voice of the Borderline Millennial, but my content can be for anyone!
Why Borderline Millennials?
I, very fortunately, grew up in a world where the only limits I had were the ones created by myself (and unwillingly pushed upon me by society, of course). It was instilled in me from a young age that if I wanted something, anything, I can make it happen, so long as I put in the work to either find it or make it come true. I was given the resources and if there was something I needed, I had people in my life who could provide those for me or who knew how to help me find them on my own. So many people throughout my life have shared with me their resources, be it in forms of actual resources, words of wisdom, education, stories, or experiences. They’ve taught me that you can do whatever you want as long as you do it with the right mindset, positive intentions, an open mind and a passionate heart.
Borderline Millennials aims to be a source of positivity in the world. It’s here to capture the beauty of our world and share its greatest treasures for the people within it.
Borderline Millennials is a judgement-free, hate-free, inclusive, and welcoming zone for adventurers, seekers, explorers, watchers, readers, friends, fellow creators, and everyone else few and far between.
